The Week that was in Revit Add-ons for the Week of December 26, 2016

We're not expecting further posts this holiday weekend so we're going to publish this article a little early.

New

From around the Internet, for the first time, we posted about UL's SPOT, an online database of sustainability data that can easily be added to Revit models.

There were no new add-ins introduced on the Autodesk App Store during the week.

Updated

From around the Internet, we posted about recent updates to AGACAD's Smart Details, and belatedly posted about the most recent updates to Revolution Design's Selection Master.

There were no new add-in updates posted on the Autodesk App Store during the week.

Miscellany

We took advantage of the lull in add-in news to post a few product roundups of multiple add-ins from companies/individuals, including AVATAR BIM, Emanuel Favreau, and Revolution Design.

Speaking of Revolution Design, we focused on them this week as we welcomed them back as a sponsor; as already mentioned, we posted an update on their Selection Master add-in. We also vastly overhauled our posts about the most recent versions of their Keynote Manager and Revit workFlow add-ins, substituting the much more detailed information from their website for the information from the Autodesk App Store. And, as already mentioned, we also posted a product roundup of their add-ins.

What Trended

Our year in review article topped the list early in the week while our AVATAR BIM product roundup spent the end of the week perched at the top.

The cleverly-named DynoMenorah spent most of the week on the chart, as did Greenlee Bendworks' year-end promotion and the Model Checker feature update re unit support.

The end of the week saw the surprise return of a couple of old friends: Revit Extensions for Autodesk Revit 2014, and Room Sync with Linked Models from the now-defunct CASE.

Oh, and for 2016, this post, our last of the year, was our 500th! 500 posts in one year!
