Free Walk-Through-3D for Autodesk Revit Version 3.0

Editor's Note: With this release, this add-in was renamed. The old name was Unity for Autodesk Revit.

Walk-Through-3D™ for Autodesk® Revit® 3.0 is a proof of concept add-in to connect Revit and Unity® gaming development platform.

The add-in supports export of 3D model geometry from Revit to Unity allowing users to have the first person 3D shooter game like experience while using Revit created model as the 3D environment.

The main features of the add-in includes:
  • Export of 3D model geometry with materials and textures from Revit to Walk-Through-3D.
  • Manipulation of the resulting 3D model in a similar fashion to a 3D first-person shooter game.
  • Support of textures along with an ability to apply weather effects.
  • Generation of a standalone executable package to view the exported Revit model in a three-dimensional representation that requires neither Autodesk Revit nor Unity installations.
  • Support of HTC® Vive virtual reality headset and controllers.
  • Support for Intel® RealSense™ camera

The week of May 22, 2017 was a busy one for Revit add-ins on the Autodesk App Store, even though, uncharacteristically, no new add-ins were published.

Twenty six add-ins were updated, including Bonus ToolsModelo Exporter for RevitPowerCad-MPunchQuickSelect, and Selection Master, each of which received relatively significant updates.

Maximize Navisworks Add-in Version 1.1

Due to the popularity of the Maximize AutoCAD tool,  a similar tool was created for Navisworks to aid in working across multiple monitors. Very simply, this will cause Navisworks to span across all screens of your computer. After that you can use the built in Split View to split your views, or you can fill one screen with Navisworks controls (like the clash navigator and selection tree) leaving one full monitor for viewing your model.

Selection Set Creator Add-in for Navisworks

A useful tool for creating search sets and selection sets. Just select the properties category and save sets. It can be created easily by selectiing the model’s properties by one click. You don’t’ need to save them one by one.

The major functions include
  • Easy creation of selection sets: Just select model’s properties category. You can create selection sets by properties name.
  • Easy creation search sets export XML: you don’t need to use find Items function. just select the properties name of the one you want to create.

You can also save search sets for another file or revision files.
